Dr Giulia Benedetti is a Consultant Radiologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust with a subspecialty interest in cardio-thoracic imaging. She has extensive experience in thoracic disease, including lung cancer, pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung disease as well as in cardiac imaging. Dr Giulia Benedetti completed her Radiology Training at San Raffaele University in Milan (Italy), where she developed her subspecialty interest particularly in Cardiac CT, CT for the assessment of valve disease, Cardiac Magnetic Resonance, and thoracic pathologies.  She also developed interest for AI and machine learning. In 2016, She completed a clinical and research fellowship in Cardiac Imaging at Barts Heart Centre.

She is the author/co-author of several peer-reviewed scientific papers on cardiothoracic imaging (publications https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/myncbi/giulia.benedetti.2/bibliography/public/).

She regularly takes part to teaching activities trying to share her passion for cardiac imaging with radiology and cardiology registrars and fellows, and she has presented at national and international conferences. She is part of many radiological society, including the Royal College of Radiologist, British Society of Thoracic Imaging, The British Society of Cardiac Computed Tomography, the European Society of Thoracic Imaging, the European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology.
